The purpose of this Vietnam Unit Memorial Display is to provide an honorable tribute to all those men and women (58,245) who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their Country in the South East Asia Theater of the Vietnam War - 1956 to 1975.

In order to recognize and identify each Armed Forces personnel correctly in the line of duty within the war zone parameters, the following format will be used.

Each person will be identified by:

1. Unit

2. Date of Death

3. Rank or Rate

4. First name--Middle initial--Last name

5. Designator if applicable

6.  Location of Death

7. Other pertinent information

For those individuals who received the Congressional Medal of Honor ( MOH ) posthumously, Air Force Cross (AFC ), Army's Distinguished Service Cross (DSC ), and the Navy Cross (NC ) or for those still listed as Missing in Action ( MIA ), this information will precede the Date of Death.  When there is more than one who died on the same Date within the same unit, the senior rank will be listed on that date first, followed by the next senior rank on that date, and alphabetically listed within that rank on that specific date.

Upon clicking on the designated Branch of Military Service of your choice listed below, you will view the list of major operational component commands of that service.  You must click on a particular command to view that component's units that have a breakdown of information listing our HERO'S information.  You may also find a component list of units that all SURVIVOR'S served on or with in order to recognize their honorable service.

CONCEPT OF THIS DISPLAY

This display is my way of Honoring my cousin, LCPL Harold Dwight Miller, who was serving with the US Marine Corp's E / 2 / 7 / 9MAB unit when he made the ultimate Sacrifice on 11/23/1968. SP4 Robert Eugene Jones, who was serving with the US Army's C / 1 / 506th Inf Reg / 101st Airborne Division unit when he made the ultimate Sacrifice on 8/5/1969.

This is also a tribute of Honor to GMG3 Thomas J Craghead Jr., the first casualty of my US Navy's CTF-116 River Section-535 unit on 2/4/68 that I was serving with as well as all other members of my units who died later on which I served with.

This Unit Memorial Display is also meant to recognize all the men and women (58,245) who made the ultimate Sacrifice during the Viet Nam War.  I am only a survivor.
